Daab chingri - Bengali food recipe

Ingredients:

Fresh prawns
·
1 large tinder coconut(daab)
·
1 onion
·
2 cloves of garlic
·
½ tsp green chilli paste
·
2 tbsp mustard paste
·
2 tbsp mustard oil
·
Salt
·
1/3 tsp panch phoron
·
Turmeric powder
·
Wheat dough
Method
·
Cut the coconut and drain out the water from the coconut. Then cut out
all the coconut flesh properly &make a smooth paste using the coconut
water.

Now heat the oil in a pan and add some panch phoron then add the onion,
garlic, a little bit of salt and fry.

Now take a big mixing bowl, add fried masala, turmeric powder, salt (as
per your taste), chilli paste, coconut paste and mix well.

Now add prawns to this paste and mix well again.
·
Now take that coconut and cut it from the bottom &make it flat
so you can adjust it in the oven or pressure cooker, and also cut its head into
a bigger round or square shape. It will help while stuffing.

Now stuff the prawn mixture inside the coconut and cover the top with
wheat dough.

Now add some water to the pressure cooker and place the coconut inside
it. Put on the cooker lid and wait for 3 whistles.

After taking the cooker off, wait for a few minutes then take out the
coconut from the cooker &remove the wheat dough.

And it's ready to serve.
How to serve
Serve daab chingri hot with
steamed rice.
